In this 3-hour session designed for absolute beginners, we'll explore different high-quality art supplies through some fun exercises. You'll get to paint a floral pattern, a small botanical moon, a planet, or let your imagination guide you. The project is open-ended, allowing for customization based on your level and interests, with my guidance every step of the way.

This relaxed class is more than just painting; it's an opportunity to connect, chat, and ask as many questions as you'd like. It serves as a perfect introduction to my Floral Abstract workshops, or a fantastic starting point for your artistic journey.

Throughout the session, we'll delve into:

  • Essential insights on recommended art supplies and their proper use
  • Different watercolor papers and how to prepare them based on your style
  • Exercise: Working with the main quality of watercolours: transparency
  • Exercise: Brush practice with leaves, make the best use of your brushes
  • Splattering with masking fluid to create textures
  • Mini project: floral pattern, abstract circles or mini moon
