Care Instructions for Your Silk Painting
Your silk painting has been lovingly mounted on a wood panel and framed in a floater frame to showcase its natural beauty. To keep it in excellent condition, follow these care tips:
-
Avoid Direct Sunlight:
Silk is a delicate material and can fade over time if exposed to prolonged sunlight. Hang your artwork in a location away from direct sunlight or intense artificial light. -
Control Humidity:
Silk is sensitive to moisture. Display your artwork in a space with stable humidity levels. Avoid hanging it in damp areas like bathrooms. -
Dust Gently:
Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth or a feather duster to remove dust from the surface. Avoid using water, sprays, or cleaning products, as they can damage the silk. -
Protect from Physical Contact:
Avoid touching the silk surface directly, as oils from your hands can transfer to the fabric and cause discoloration over time. -
Keep Away from Heat Sources:
Do not hang your artwork near radiators, heaters, or fireplaces, as excessive heat can dry out and weaken the silk. -
Handle with Care:
When moving or transporting the artwork, handle it by the frame rather than the silk surface to avoid accidental damage.
