Rising Sun is an original botanical watercolor painting created on the spring equinox of 2026, inspired by the return of the light and what it awakens in the world of blooms. It reflects that quiet turning point in the year, when days begin to lengthen and nature slowly opens again.

Layers of luminous petals and leaves unfold across the surface, blending soft greens, warm golds, delicate corals, and hints of turquoise, evoking the gentle energy of a landscape coming back to life.

NOTE: This piece can be displayed in two orientations. While it was originally painted in one direction, it can also be hung upside down, offering a different composition and flow. I’ve come to especially love this alternate view, where the movement and balance of the blooms take on a new energy.
