Heart: All My Heart, Original Art | Ingrid Sanchez

All My Heart is a carved hardwood heart covered in a patchwork of my hand painted silk, part of Corazones de Seda, a series of one of a kind hearts born from the beautiful leftovers of my studio. Each heart is made from offcuts of the silk I paint for my framed silk panels, so nothing is wasted and no two hearts are ever the same.

This heart is a collage of many small pieces, each one a fragment of a different painting. Torn edges overlap like petals in deep wine, rose, indigo and teal, with flashes of emerald, golden green and soft blush blooms. Together they become one: a heart made whole from many pieces, holding memories of every silk painting that came before it.

All My Heart is a substantial piece, carved from thick, solid hardwood, with a lovely weight that makes it feel precious to hold. The patchwork continues all around the back, framing a bare wood heart where I have signed it and written London U.K. 2026. A keyhole slot means it can hang on the wall, or simply rest on a shelf, a bedside table or an altar, as a reminder that we can give all our heart, even when it is made of many pieces.
