Grand Monstera is a 16” shamanic drum hand-crafted and hand-painted by artist Ingrid Sanchez. Built on a natural cedar wood hoop, this unique drum features a goat hide transformed through a cyanotype process using a single, large monstera leaf. Its bold botanical imprint creates a rich, organic presence, filled with texture and quiet power.

The back of the drum includes a single braid woven into the lacing, a small tribute to the wisdom of grandmothers. The frame is finished with a rim lacing, giving the drum a clean, intentional edge that complements its natural beauty.

The 3” deep frame offers a strong, resonant tone ideal for meditation, ritual, energy work, or ceremonial practice. Created with respect for the materials and a deep appreciation for plant magic, this drum invites grounding, connection, and a reverence for lineage.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

This drum is crafted from natural materials—wood and hide that respond to temperature and humidity. In damp or cold weather, the hide may soften. If this happens, gently warm the drum before playing (near your body, in a warm room, briefly in indirect sunlight, or using a hair dryer on a low, warm setting) to restore tension and tone.
